Having recently been taken ill with glandular fever, we are sorry to announce that Chrissie Cox, Chairman of the Military WAGs Group, will no longer be running the London Marathon for the Women’s Section this Sunday.

Anyone who has suffered with this illness knows how debilitating it can be, so under doctors orders (and feeling incredibly guilty), Chrissie has had no option but to withdraw from the running. The good news is that her place has been automatically deferred to the next year’s Marathon and all monies raised to date will be held on account until the event next year.

On behalf of Chrissie Cox and everyone at head office, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who have sponsored her so far and helped raise nearly £3000 for the Women's Section. Health permitting, Chrissie is still planning on attending Annual Conference in Eastbourne next week and is looking forward to speaking to you all about the Military WAGS group.

In the meantime, we wish Chrissie a very speedy recovery!
